Frequently Asked Questions

Building a luxury indoor golf studio involves a lot of variables. Here are the most common questions our build experts receive regarding room dimensions, launch monitor technology, and setup requirements.

What are the minimum room dimensions for a golf simulator? +

While the exact dimensions depend on the specific launch monitor and enclosure you choose, a general rule of thumb for a comfortable indoor swing is a space that is 10 feet wide, 15 feet deep, and 9 feet high. Ceiling height is the most common limiting factor. To test if your ceiling is high enough, slowly swing your longest club (driver) in the space. If you feel constrained, you likely need a room with a 9.5-foot to 10-foot ceiling.

What is the difference between photometric (camera) and radar launch monitors? +

Photometric (Camera-based) systems, like the Bushnell Launch Pro, SkyTrak, and Uneekor EYE XO, take high-speed photographs of the ball at the exact moment of impact. Because they measure the ball immediately, they require very little room depth. They are ideal for tight spaces and basements.

Radar-based systems, like the Trackman and FlightScope Mevo+, use Doppler radar to track the ball as it flies through the air. These systems require a longer room (often 16-20 feet of depth) because they need to sit 8 feet behind the golfer and watch the ball fly at least 8 feet toward the screen to gather accurate data.

Do I need a high-end gaming PC to run simulator software? +

It depends entirely on the software you want to run. Stunning, true-to-life 4K software like GSPro or TGC 2019 requires a powerful Windows gaming PC (we recommend at least an NVIDIA RTX 3060 graphics card). However, budget units like the Garmin R10 and SkyTrak MAX offer iOS apps that run incredibly well on standard iPads and iPhones, removing the need for an expensive PC altogether.

Can I use real golf tees on the hitting mat? +

Yes. All of our premium and commercial-grade hitting mats that are bundled with the SIG8, SIG10, and SIG12 enclosures are constructed with dense, thick turf designed to securely hold standard wooden golf tees. This perfectly replicates the sensation of hitting off a real tee box without the need for cumbersome rubber adapters.

How difficult is it to assemble a SIG enclosure? +

Our SIG enclosures are engineered with simplicity in mind. We use a heavy-duty push-pin aluminum framing system that requires zero power tools or complex hardware. The padded baffling and impact screen easily bungee to the frame. Most packages can be completely assembled by two people in about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Do you offer financing? +

Absolutely. We partner with industry-leading financing providers to offer customized, low-interest and 0% APR financing options on qualifying purchases for up to 36 months, allowing you to easily build your dream setup today and pay over time.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept PayPal, major credit cards (via PayPal), and bank transfers. All transactions are secured with SSL encryption. For high-value purchases, we also offer PayPal invoicing — simply click "Pay with PayPal" on any product page and complete your purchase securely.

How long does shipping take? +

Launch monitors typically ship within 1-3 business days via FedEx. SIG enclosures and larger components ship via LTL freight within 3-5 business days. Most complete packages arrive within 7-10 business days. All orders over $5,000 include complimentary white-glove freight shipping.
